Jack Lawson 1938 - 2021

Jack Lawson, 83, of Grand View, Idaho passed away peacefully on October 1, 2021 surrounded by family. Jack was born in Bruneau, Idaho in 1938 and married his high school sweetheart, Belva, in 1959.

Jack made a lasting impact on the lives of everyone around him, including the impressive and one-of-a-kind antique museum, The Lawson’s Emu-Z-Um in Grand View, that he and his wife Belva have been building together since 1996. Together, they recently won an award from the Idaho Historical Society for their contributions to Idaho History with the development and operation of the Emu-Z-Um.

His passion for collecting, his charm and witty personality and joy of creating strong relationships with everyone he met were just a few of the amazing qualities that he possessed. He is an irreplaceable husband, brother, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend that is very loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his beloved wife Belva of 62 years, his son Kerry Lawson and wife Lisa, and his daughter Lori Johnson and her husband Jim. He has six grandchildren Nick (Sarah), Tarah (Brandon), Katie (Mitchell), Adam, Kristine and Ashley and two great grandchildren, Addilynn and Roland. He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Jan Lawson, and many nieces and nephews.

Jack did not want any memorial services, so his request will be honored during this time. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers as we honor the amazing man that Jack was.
